The only child of Bridaire Banking's Brian Bridaire II and CEO Barbara Deveraux-Bridaire, Beverly Bridaire was born in Champion City, on a cold November 1st. A part of a very wealthy family, Beverly was well taken care of. Unsurprisingly, she became a greedy brat with a superiority complex - a shame, since she was a child prodigy, with an expertise in Mathematics. This didn't sit well with her parents, for unlike their compatriots in the banking industry, the Bridaires are class acts who use their money for mostly charitable causes...and Beverly did not. All attempts at getting their daughter to behave in the manner Bridaires are known for - failed...leaving one solution: sending her away to a boarding school, with hopes of instilling a sense of discipline. However, Beverly wasn't sent to just any boarding school. This one had flying children and sharp objects...for it was the Swordsheath Academy, one of the three training facilities established by members of the world-reknowned super team, Code Blue.

Run by the ever-serious Shadowslayer, the SS Academy teaches swordsmanship of all kinds. This fascinated Beverly, who herself, was a huge fan of ninja films. Shadowslayer watched his new student as she immediately played with the weapons haphazardly - and cut her leg deep. As she cried on the floor, Shadowslayer turned his back. Now, a far cry from the lifestyle she had known since birth, here, Beverly learned she had to be tough to survive the challenges of the Academy. Determined to prove herself to the legendary swordsman, she adopted Shadowslayer's weapon of choice: the katana. Beverly would spend every minute of her days honing her skills with the blade, far exceeding expectations. Eventually, at 18, she graduated a new woman. After reconciling with her parents, Beverly relocated to Neo Nightdyne City and struck out on her own - to fight crime. Dedicated to her cause, she designed an impressive bodysuit with her own original interface: XevaNET, and took justice to the streets.

Xevaline has no natural superpowers of her own, and while she doesn't require her suit to fight, she wears it to maximize her abilities. The XevaNET interface allows her to display the exact strength, speed, and distance of her attacks in numerical values. Tapping into her mathematical prowess, Xevaline uses the numbers as a guide to aid her fighting efficiency. Her suit is also plated with an unprecedented grade 40 titanium-alloy armor which is far lighter and tougher than it's predecessors, as well as an internal temperature control system. The sword hilt she uses supports interchangeable expanding and contracting blades, which she carries in a compartment attached to the back of her suit. As she was trained with it, she prefers the katana blade above all others, yet she is adept with each blade in her possession. Xevaline also has a background in gymnastics, resulting in superb physical conditioning and incredible acrobatic maneuverability, as well as savate, which she incorporates into her unique style, Xevajutsu.
