Using research and technology left over from the former ruling body, the new Republic was determined to improve upon it's predecessor in every way possible - including humanity. In a think-tank containing the brightest minds in the E.R.M., Lona Lakota helped develop the Transhuman Conversion Program by producing a plan aimed at reducing both the physical, and mental stress involved in the process. To prove her plan, Lona herself was the very first person to undergo the process. Not only was the procedure a success, but a full-on medical breakthrough, which ultimately began her legend. Adored by the people for her contributions, they elected her to be a member of the young nation's leadership committee - the Five Foundations. Now the head of the Medical Foundation, Lona takes the position very seriously. Despite her normally polite and inviting demeanor, she will react very, very negatively if her instructions are not followed to perfection within the Med. These traits earned her the name "Aconite", for she can hurt just as much as she can help.

As a native of the Elite Republic of Moxozza, Doctor Aconite is a genetically enhanced transhuman being. Unlike her compatriots, Aconite's transhuman conversion was experimental, and the side-effects were her superpowers. Primarily, she possesses a healing touch, which upon contact, instantly heals any person she wishes. Also, she has a tremendous healing factor, allowing her to recover from even the most gruesome injuries in a matter of seconds. Conversely, Aconite can also use her medical expertise to destroy any human that crosses her path by exploiting their health issues with extreme means. Additionally, Aconite is trained in the use of small handguns, a safety measure she learned as a rebel medic.
