Eastern Wavecrest Island, a vacation destination known for it's fabulous resorts and breathtaking views, held an incredible secret right underneath it. Deep in the ocean, embedded in the island's foundation, was a chamber that someone put a lot of effort into concealing...as if they were covering up a murder. Sure enough, the twisted hulk of steel and crystal was meant to be the final resting place for the person inside - as it bore the logo of Nine Core, a crime syndicate that once terrorized the world in ages past. These death chambers were common practice in the syndicate, with the purpose of eliminating those who dare threatened to leave it. The inhabitants of these watery coffins were usually ugly shmucks that probably had it coming...but this one was different. Inside this chamber, marked "Diamond D-2", was a rather beautiful woman. No one knows how long she was down there, but her body was so well-preserved that it looked as if she was merely sleeping. That's because she was. Awakened by a shark tapping on her chamber, the woman finally discovered her predicament.

Yet, something strange was going on - she was not afraid. In fact, she was smiling! Dancing to the shark's taps from within the chamber, the woman seemed oblivious to the fact that she was in mortal danger. But then something VERY strange happened. She froze the chamber's glass with her hands, and shattered it, frightening the shark away. It wouldn't be the last of her chilling display, for she swam into the open ocean and froze the water touching her body, forming an icy shield that buoyed it straight to the top of the ocean. Glistening in the daylight, she shattered the ice from within, and swam to a nearby beach. Half-naked, dripping-wet, and dancing to the music playing around her, vacationers who lied on the beach assumed she just came from a swim, unaware of her journey. Still dancing, the woman exclaimed "I love this mus-...wait, WHERE AM I?" She then danced to the nearest person, "Hi, i'm Angela! What day is it?" The person responded accordingly, which didn't satisfy her as much as one would think. With a smile on her face, she then asked, "What year is it?"

It's unknown how Diamond D-2 obtained her ice powers or how long she's had them, but she is an expert in their usage. Such powers usually involve freezing the air around the user, however, as seen in her escape, Diamond can create ice anywhere. This is due to the fact that she rapidly drops her body temperature to levels inconceivable by the average human. During this action, physical contact with Diamond is extremely hazardous. Levels, that allow her to not only freeze the air around her, but also anything she touches, instantly. Additionally, these immediate temperature changes appears to have no effect on Diamond's body whatsoever, as she always uses her powers in rapid succession. The rapid use allows her to project ice in any fashion she sees fit, though she has a fondness for ice beams.
